Standard terms

How a shipment runs

These are the default commercial terms behind every proforma invoice we issue. Anything else is agreed in writing before the order is confirmed.

Enquiry & quotation

Send the item list with sizes. We issue a proforma invoice with HS codes, quantities, unit prices and the total in JOD, valid for one month.

Payment

100% in advance by bank transfer to our account in Jordan. Shipment is arranged once payment is received in full.

Packing & labelling

Export food-grade cartons, palletised, with production and expiry dates, batch numbers, ingredients, net weight and storage conditions in Arabic.

Documents

Commercial and proforma invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, health / free-sale certificate, halal certificate where applicable.

Transport

Land trucks from Amman via the Al-Karama Crossing, transiting Trebil into Iraq, delivered to the agreed address in Baghdad.

On arrival

Minimum 75% of shelf life remaining. Shortage, breakage or short-dated stock reported within fourteen days is replaced or credited.

Categories in scope

What travels well

Ambient dry goods and glass or tin packed lines make up most of what we ship. Chilled and frozen items are quoted separately and only on confirmed cold-chain routes.

Dry pantry

Freekeh, bulgur, semolina, pulses, rice, sugar, coffee, herbs and thyme blends.

Preserved

Pickles, olives, canned fava and chickpeas, tomato paste, sauces, vinegar and molasses.

Sweet & tahini

Halva, tahini, jams and fruit spreads, date and grape syrups, chocolate creams.
